"dont be a jerk during your next fight"

How to dodge germs in the time of h1n1
This article is about a woman who was sitting next to a woman hacking up a lung thinking she had swine flu on a plane. The article explains a few ways to dodge germs, especially if you’re in the situation where you’re sitting right next them. On her flight, the woman pointed the air vent towards the sick woman so the germs went towards her. she also pivoted her body towards the aisle away from the sick person. The woman says she wished she asked an attendant to provide the sick woman with a mask to prevent germs from spreading. Studies show that when on a plane or train that you’re most likely to get sick from people sitting in your row or right behind you. While being in airports and train stations you need to be cautious about what you touch, because you never know what a sick person has touched. If you have touched something like a handrail, don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth and quickly sanitize.
With the rapid spreading of swine flu, you must be cautious of the environment around you. If you touch things that you know a lot of other people have touched, you have to take care of your body and wash your hands, your face and use sanitizer. When you’re condemned to a small place, such as an airplane I think people who are ill and coughing everywhere should be required to wear masks so they don’t spread they’re germs. If you’re sick you should be respectable to people who aren’t sick, and keep yourself away from people who are healthy. No one wants to be sick, so don’t spread your germs. Hopefully h1n1 will slow down when the vaccines are availed more. This article talked about that if you’re healthy and have a strong immune system that your body can fight off germs picked up on maybe the handrail, or in the elevator. Protect yourself from germs!

"Bill to Increase Access to Contraception Is Dividing Filipinos"
In the Philippines, it’s very hard for people to afford vitamins, food, shelter and most importantly birth control. Abortion is illegal in the Philippines due to strong religious beliefs, so if you can’t afford birth control, your life sucks. Gina Judilla had three children that she couldn’t take care of already. She admitted to trying to kill her newest baby while it was still a fetus, and she knew she couldn’t afford to have it. She didn’t succeed and now has another little boy. 70 percent of the Philippines population is too poor to afford birth control, or other medicines. Little by little Philippine congress is trying to help with this issue. The reproductive health and population development act is attempting to provide the Philippines with low cost health services, which would include condoms, birth control pills, and vasectomies. It would also teach sex education in private and public schools. A survey showed that only half of the female population in the Philippines have used birth control. 92 percent of pregnancies there are unintended. Churches have caused condoms and other things to protect yourself to be TAKEN AWAY from hospitals or clinics. Patients who would ask for them would be turned down.
This article relates to health, because of how dangerous it is for people to be uneducated about health. Women in the Philippines cannot afford birth control, causing a rapid population increase and a lot of suffering. Most of these women have several children that they can’t afford as it is, so if abortion is not available they must have a child. Children are suffering and not eating because they cannot be aborted. Clinics need to be available to these woman to recieve condoms, birth control and an education of safe sex. I bet a lot of these women have sexually transmitted diseases that they are completely unaware of, and un educated about. If people are trying to kill their babies by themselves, there’s clearly a problem here. Clinics should provide abortions as well. If they cannot afford to have the child they should be able to abort it. Hopefully laws are passed, and the Philippines must provide women with low cost health services to help them protect themselves from the dangerous and risks of having sex.

New York suspends manditory flu shots
This article is about how New York public health workers are no longer required to be vaccinated against the seasonal flu, and swine flu (h1n1.) There’s a severe shortage in the amount of vaccines available. All of the public workers were supposed to get the shot or face disciplinary consequences. Supposedly at the end of October there will be 120 million doses of h1n1 shots available. The shot will first be given to people at high risk such as pregnant woman, and people 6 to 24 years old. The CDC has planned to have more than 200 million doses of the shot as of November. The demand of t he shot has led to its rapid shortage. Its anticipated that New York will only receive about 27.7 million doses of the vaccine at the months end. The CDC stated that they need to be as resourceful as they can to save the vaccine for the ones who need it the most. H1N1 is spreading vastly and they need to come up with the doses faster!
The article relates to health because swine flu is spreading vastly and affecting thousands of people, sometimes ending in death. With the shortage of t he amount of doses available people can die. People who are around the virus and are not protected with a vaccination can become infected with this popular flu. Not only is h1n1 spreading, but so is the popular common flu. With the vaccination coming out at the end of October, hopefully something will be down to end the swine flu extravaganza. Its what everyone has been talking about and its what everyone is scared of getting. This article also shows how New York health workers should have the shot but not cant because its not available. i think that can be dangerous if their working around people with it, and them become affected. People need to stay clean and sanitize themselves constantly to stay away from this flu. Its gross and makes you very ill.
